HPV Vaccination Catch-up Campaign

hpv vaccination in action

NHS England has launched a catch-up campaign for the HPV vaccine, targeting 16 to 25-year-olds whose records show they did not get their HPV vaccination in school.

HPV stands for Human Papillomavirus, a group of over 100 related viruses. It’s extremely common, with around 7 in 10 people getting infected at some stage in their lives.

Because HPV has no symptoms, it can spread easily without being noticed. In most cases, the infection clears on its own, but if it persists, it can lead to certain types of cancer.

GP practices are being asked to send invites via letter, email, text and the NHS App to eligible patients.

  • If you or your child receive an invitation for this catch-up campaign, please book an appointment with one of our nurses
  • You can call the practice directly to book nurse appointments on 020 3818 8270
